Battlax BT46 - Your new Touring tyre

The Battlax BT46 is designed to replace the iconic Battlax BT45. Since its debut 22 years ago, it has been the choice tyre in the Touring category. Bridgestone has since revamped this tyre with the latest technologies.

At the front, the BT46 features inverted V grooves that help to counteract the forces acting on the tyre, reduce the risks of uneven wear, and provide the rider with an incredible feel, translating to enhanced handling capabilities with the machine. The rear tyre benefits from a new unique silica compound specially designed to maximise performance, grip, and longevity. Wet weather performance has been improved compared to the BT45, without any compromise on the high level of performance it offered on dry roads and in terms of wear resistance. The Battlax BT46 is compatible with UM applications: Tubeless marked tyres can be fitted on TubeType rims if used with an inner tube.

Bridgestone has specifically developed this tyre to cover a wide range of motorcycles in the Touring segment. Available in 21 dimensions at the front and 27 dimensions at the rear, this new tyre will offer an additional ten sizes starting January 2020. The complete line-up will follow shortly after.
