Durability

Deep grooves combined with a balanced compound of silica and carbon black have been used to ensure significant longevity as well as excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions.
Thanks to an extremely effective mixing technology, Metzeler is able to combine silica, carbon black, and the latest generations of resins and reinforcing agents to achieve a perfect compound.

Stability in all conditions

The TOURANCE features a 0° belted structure on the radial rear sizes, paired with a lightweight carcass to promote stability and handling even at high speeds by evenly distributing forces to the road and optimising the contact area in all situations.
Steel cables are wrapped with varying spacings (patented MAW technology), wider in the crown area for high elasticity and self-damping, and tighter in the mid-lean area for better rigidity in curves.
Thanks to patented MBS technology, all radial front tyres are characterised by a diagonal belt to enhance cornering and high-speed stability.

Traction and grip

The tread of the TOURANCE has been developed with frequent road use in mind without compromising off-road traction, thus aligning with the needs of street enduro and dual-sport motorcycles.
Wide blocks in the central area ensure a compact rubber zone exactly at the contact area. This allows for the total torque to be transmitted directly from the engine to the road for maximum traction and ensures a homogeneous and light rolling noise.
The shape of the grooves between the tread blocks has been designed with varying widths to easily drain water from the contact area and thus prevent aquaplaning.
