In motorcycle racing, speed is key and aerodynamics plays an essential role - as that extra kilometre per hour can make the difference between victory and defeat.

The lightweight X.R3R shell, optimised for aerodynamics, not only reduces air resistance but also optimises the airflow to cool the inside.

THE IMPORTANCE OF VIRTUAL BEFORE REAL

Significant efforts have been made to enhance the aerodynamic efficiency of the X.R3R's shell, visor, spoilers, and vents.

The need for good design in aerodynamics goes through wind tunnel testing. However, tests start virtually on the computer, with virtual CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analyses allowing for better and more informed decisions. These results are then backed up by wind tunnel tests, at a 1:1 scale with a motorcycle, and road tests that validate the helmet's aerodynamic performance from various angles and riding positions.

EFFICIENCY AND PERFORMANCE

An aerodynamic helmet focusing on speed improves ventilation and adds a range of safety features. Every detail of the outer shell design and external components is engineered to reduce drag pressure and ensure maximum efficiency.

At the same time, air resistance is minimised, and the airflow for cooling the inside is optimised. Air is specifically guided through the upper and side vortices to the rear, where it increases the efficiency of the new racing spoiler concept.

REAR SPOILER EXTENSION

A translucent racing-style spoiler extension can be added to make the helmet surprisingly stable at high speeds. Fixed with screws, this rear spoiler extension features a breakaway design for maximum safety standards.

SENSE THE LIGHTNESS

Designed for elite riders and those conscious about weight, the new X-PRO carbon shell with 3K carbon fabrics is 10% lighter than other carbon shells and offers greater rigidity and ultimate strength. The high fibre content (≥ 60%) maximises the mechanical properties of the composite shell while the fibre distribution ensures uniform strength in all directions with an exquisite appearance. Everything you expect from one of the most advanced carbon fibre helmet technologies available.

The complex aerodynamic concept of the X.R3R is designed to maximise its performance, with a dynamic weight of 0 to 160 km/h.

SENSE THE COOL

On the track, the last thing you want to worry about is heat on your head. The Aero test determined the superior ventilation system of the X.R3R, which encourages airflow through the helmet from front to back.

With six air intakes and four exhaust outlets for ventilation - you can have complete control over the amount of airflow you get through the helmet to keep your head as cool as possible under the pressure of track riding.

SPEED-FLOW VENTILATION SYSTEM FOR THE CHIN

The elongated shape of the chin vent allows more Race air to be drawn in, with an efficient ducting system to distribute fresh air through the visor and face area. An additional air intake is also incorporated in the bottom, made from vibration-resistant rubber and can easily be opened and closed with a switch from the inside.

X-MART DRY FABRIC

All parts of the lining, including the neck roll, are removable, washable, and feature X-Mart Dry technology - a soft-hand fabric with a special treatment that helps you stay cool, dry, and comfortable, with a drying speed twice as fast as regular cotton.

BE AT EASE

Thanks to its aerodynamic design, the visor significantly reduces wind noise by allowing good airflow over your face. The complete soundproofing concept of the X.R3R includes vortex generators at the chin level to reduce aerodynamic drag and lift, as well as a double rubber seal profile around the visor, configured to improve sound insulation.

ANTI-VIBRATION RUBBER VISOR PLATE

The special anti-vibration rubber visor plates are designed to absorb and evenly distribute vibrations at nominal levels. They are perfect for helping to reduce noise levels and cancel vibration transmission to the adjacent structures of the visor.

VISOR RECOIL SYSTEM

The Recoil visor system, with its spring-based side plates, automatically adjusts and pulls the screen back against the double-lip window seal for a perfect fit.

DOUBLE LOCK SYSTEM

The dual locking safety system of the visor prevents sudden and unexpected opening of the visor screen and can be easily operated with gloves.

The smart Transitions® visors automatically adjust to the ideal tint regardless of light conditions. They stay clear at night and tinted when exposed to bright light, allowing for safe and comfortable riding, day or night. Available as an optional accessory.

A RACING INTERIOR DESIGNED FOR THIS EFFECT

The modular inner padding of the XR3R is a unique approach to comfort and stability at high speeds, allowing for individual adjustment of the central padding and cheek pads, for a perfect fit for most head shapes.

All inner parts, including the thick neck roll, are removable, skin-friendly (hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties), and seamless in sensitive areas.

FEEL COMFORTABLE

With the adaptive crown adjustment system of the X.R3R, the crown pad can slide forward and backward to conform to the rider's preferences and adjusts 360°, eliminating pressure points for maximum comfort and protection - with up to 6 adjustment levels.

ADJUST CHEEK PADS

The X.R3R cheek pads are designed with a special internal pocket that works as an adaptive system that can be precisely adjusted to the rider's preferences. In a simple and quick manner, this system allows adding a range of foams of different thicknesses to achieve a tighter fit at the cheeks, resulting in a more balanced, safer, and more agile helmet on the track. To make things even easier, it is reversible, so the cheek pads can always be returned to their original configuration.

BEAT THE HEAT

Innovative Air cumbs offer unmatched levels of interior ventilation and comfort. The crown padding of the X.R3R is sewn with a special mesh that creates a fresh air chamber between the EPS lining and padding. By gradually releasing and distributing fresh air around the entire head contour, it creates a longer cooling sensation at controlled temperature and humidity levels.

FEEL SAFE

The multi-density EPS liner system of the X.R3R is designed to allow cooling air to flow unrestricted through tunnels created in 5 different zones with variable densities for maximum shock protection in key areas around the rider's head.

ECE 22-06 CERTIFIED

Welcome to a new era of safety. The X.R3R comes with the new ECE 22-06 certification which includes new tests conducted at higher speeds, with more impact locations and improved impact absorption capability, as well as extra requirements for features such as chin straps and retractable visors. The X.R3R will also be subject to the FIM Racing certification program, which is necessary to compete at international levels, including MotoGP - for 2022.

EMERGENCY STRAP V2

Integrated into each cheek pad, the V2 emergency strap system allows qualified medical personnel to access the head of an injured rider easily and smoothly.

X-LOCK SYSTEM

The entire X.R3R collection is equipped with a double D-ring that meets MotoGP standards and a magnetic X-LOCK button for easy final fastening.

REMOVABLE CHIN COVER

The chin covers are removable and washable for more convenience and cleaning after more extreme incursions on the racetrack.
